General Manners Class Info
How our classes work
Our classes are "session" classes with a particular start and end date. Some are rolling admission or drop in, and this will be indicated in the description. We can arrange to offer online classes by request for Puppy Kindergarten, Manners 1, Scentwork and Rally Obedience.
Class costs vary, but most group classes are $240 for 6 one-hour classes.
Vaccinations and other Health Info: please upload your dog's vaccination record when signing up for class, or bring to your first class. All dogs and puppies must be vaccinated in accordance with state law and your veterinarian's advice.
Cancellations and Makeup Classes: If a class is cancelled due to weather or other reasons, we will post on the main page of the website and on Facebook, and email students. We will schedule a makeup if a date is cancelled. We are not able to schedule a makeup class for individual students who miss a class.
ADULT MANNERS CLASSES
Manners Levels
Our Manners classes teach the basic skills a dog needs to be a happy family member. We cover sit, down, stay, come when called, leave it, polite greetings and leash walking. This class is for dogs who need to brush up on basics, and for rescues or other adult dogs who are new to training. Suitable for puppies over 5 months who are able to focus well. Rowdy Rover
Does your dog get over excited at the sight of other dogs or people, to the point of having difficulty focusing on you? This class is designed for young dogs who become easily over-aroused in the presence of others. Each dog/handler will be set up within their own visual barrier to first build individual skills, then the class will progress into working around one another for further practice at increasing their dog's attention.
Single Skills Classes
Sometimes all you need is to work on one area of your dog's behavior. These important behaviors take time to teach and become reliable. We offer skills classes on an alternating basis, including Loose Leash Walking, Come When Called, Cooperative Care, Real World Manners and more.
